This role is responsible for driving sales, managing and expanding relationships with key clients (business to business) while ensuring the achievement of sales objectives and growth targets. Key focus areas include driving sales growth, customer relationship management, sales forecasting, inventory coordination, negotiation, and driving continuous operational improvement within a customer-centric framework.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth – Explore new strategies, products, and markets to achieve growth targets.
- Drive profitability – Develop pricing, commercial terms, and key account strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Drive relationships – Develop, build and maintain strong long term relationships with key accounts through regular communication.
- Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Monitor account performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement corrective actions such as addressing customer complaints and ensuring their satisfaction, managing delays and supply challenges to maintain smooth operations, boosting sales by resolving issues with underperforming accounts and enhancing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Provide business updates, sales performance reports, and financial tracking.
- Develop and align customer-specific sales plans.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Oversee logistics, supply chain coordination, and order fulfillment.
- Track profitability, trading expenses, and implement cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with project milestones, budgets, and internal processes.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in marketing, sales, commerce, or business.
- Batchelor’s Degree advantageous.
- 8 – 10 years key account experience, preferably in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG retail environment.
- Manufacturing experience advantageous.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent numeracy and numerical reasoning skills
